Hello, world

Welcome to the new benbxyz site! This is where I’ll share my projects, notes and anything else I think is worth logging.

In the past I have gone with a blog format but this time notes as a content type felt more fitting for the way I like to write, they are mostly short thoughts on code, systems and whatever I’m tinkering with at the time, plus the odd longer piece when an idea needs more room.

Under the hood

Every page is built ahead of time by Bun and Astro with everything then served as plain static files from Cloudflare Workers. Publishing a note for me is just a matter of writing some Markdown.

It’s styled with Tailwind and set in Geist. If the colours look familiar, they’re borrowed from Tokyo Night, the theme running on my Omarchy desktop. It follows your system’s light or dark setting, or you can also flip it manually yourself with the toggle at the top.

If you’d like to follow along, there’s an RSS feed. Pop it in your reader of choice and new notes will come to you when I publish them.
